@DaveMasonDotMe Saw your lament and have the solution. I wrote up a little blurb on lunar photography long ago. It's actually straightforward to get the highest resolution from whatever optics you're using, whether cheap camera, fancy camera, or telescope. I also mention the usual pitfalls. Hope it helps: https://shuttersparks.net/shooting-moon/
@lovelylovely @GoatRoper @wolleysegap Well, you know, sometimes the genes just don't hook up in the best possible way.
@EarlDGray Yes, school brings facts into the discussion and that's a problem.
@kentborg @w7voa I'll bet it does. If not, it can certainly be fixed. Back in 2018 I restored a 1925 Radiola 20. https://kw2p.shuttersparks.net/the-radiola-20-a-restoration/
I started out with a crystal radio in 1958 and then became a serious shortwave listener in 1963 using a Philips Philetta. I wish I still had it. "Real" radios glow, warm your hands on a cold night, and smell wonderful. ;-)
@w7voa Yep. From back when they made "real" radios. ;-)

@w7voa I like the radio behind you in the photo. ;-)
@Holberg Yeah. My neighbor has one in black.
A man in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to death for his tweets, and surprise: Elon Musk is NOT funding his legal bill as promised because there's a good chance that the necessary data to identify this man came from the second largest shareholder of Twitter: the Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal.
Musk has been awfully silent about this as you can't really make your “freedom of speech!!” argument when you assist with killing a retired teacher for the regime critic posts they made on your platform, only possible because that regime owns a huge chunk of “your” platform.
@GayDeceiver Yup. West Virginia here.
@cobalt @grumpywitch @Manny Good luck! But be careful what you wish for. Thunderstorms these days are different. They play a lot rougher than they used to and it's going to get worse.
Our society has lost its mind. We'd better start seriously figuring out how we're going to deal with this.
Rep. Justin Jones has been silenced from the House on Monday. Democrats left. The public screamed.

@Free_Press Lost five but how much Russian armor have they turned into scrap metal so far? We've seen how easy it is to separate the turret from the body on T-72s and that smoothbore cannon hits real hard.
@lovelylovely That one goes back 12, 13 years. They must be running out of ideas.
