When Lance Armstrong (transphobe and doping cheater) asked Adam Rippon why he was afraid to have the difficult conversation about trans athletes, Adam replied that he wasn't afraid. He wanted the conversation with trans athletes, real trans researchers and people who really cared about women's athletics present.

He went on to say, "I don’t need to hear what the greatest cheater in American history has to say about what he thinks is an unfair advantage.”

@Free_Press Yes, exactly. The outcome of this kind of thinking has been demonstrated before in totalitarian regimes and in Latin America. It doesn't work. Immunity doesn't work because it encourages people to commit crimes.

US citizens: call on Big Tech to Stop sharing abortion data with government agencies. Just asking the companies to stop is unlikely to suffice. We need laws to stop them. To make the correction reliable, those must be laws against collecting the data that could be used to persecute those who have had abortions.

@Free_Press Should be interesting and potentially embarrassing for the Rus. The F-16 is old so it was designed back when dogfighting was the main thing. Nowadays it's all about standoff weapons where you engage your opponent from 90 miles out. If they want close-in aerial combat, they'll get it.

Did you know Monopoly was invented by a woman named Elizabeth Magie in 1903?

Originally ‘The Landlord’s Game,’ it was designed as a protest against the big monopolists like Carnegie & Rockefeller.

But it was Charles Darrow, an unemployed salesman, who eventually sold it to Parker Brothers after playing a version.

Parker Brothers credited Monopoly with saving their company. Magie died in 1948 without recognition. Darrow became very wealthy & his legend lives on. #history

@rms Dumbest thing Social Security ever did was loaning money to Congress. They've never paid it back and the debt shows up as a line item in the budget that Congress can point at as an "expense".

This is why Congress will never repay it.
