As the article states, even if your electricity is 100% coal power, very unlikely anywhere in the U.S., that EVs are still better for you and the environment than ICE vehicles.

#Twitter Direct Messages and Musk

As far as I know, Musk has still not made a statement regarding the privacy and sanctity of the enormous collection of Direct Messages (DM) data that #Twitter presumably has maintained possibly since the feature was originally deployed many years ago.

This contains the personal discussions of individuals, firms, companies, and probably government agencies providing customer support via account numbers and other personal data, and much more.

Do we have any assurance whatsoever that Musk would not feel free to go rummaging through that mass of data and use and/or publicly expose anything and everything that he felt would be beneficial to his personal goals?

Given Musk's ongoing behavior, the question would be laughable if it wasn't so serious.

Interesting. I have been using a cross-poster to bring tweets between Twitter and Mastodon - http://crossposter.masto.donte.com.br - Mastodon posts no longer are allowed onto Twitter - Twitter is severely limiting third party tools. This is really, really bad news.

The FBI is investigating at least five #attacks on electricity substations in the Pacific northwest similar to one that caused widespread power outages in North Carolina.

Representatives from #PugetSound Energy, the Cowlitz County Public Utility District and Bonneville Power Admin confirmed the attacks took place in November, although FBI declined to confirm the investigations and it's not clear whether any of the damage resulted in service disruptions

@shuttersparks @VinCrosbie For so many years, I relied in shortwave to get BBC radio. It gave a different perspective than American news--not always better or more accurate, but different. Being able to hear that different perspective left me more informed.
