I think it would really help more Americans understand the gravity of what has been going on if media stopped using phrases like “reverse the results of the election” which is not a thing, or “overturn the election”, (also not a thing), and started using the language the rest of the world uses: attempted coup.

It’s not “reversing” or “overturning” an election; it’s ignoring the results of an election and installing a dictator through fraud, threats, and violence, ending democracy.

I participated in the Straight Key Century Club sprint last night. It's a monthly informal contest for straight key morse code. It was super fun! I will do this again, but will do the following:
- Run QRP. They have a QRP class. I ran 10 watts, and was getting good reports everywhere
- Pay attention to the letter after the member number. Those are multipliers.

Big ships produce pollutants. Efforts to control this for air quality purposes has had a positive effect, but also resulted in a reduction in high-atmosphere aerosols. These are good at reflecting sunlight/heat back into space, which reduces heat. So, we've managed to contribute to warming by cleaning up the air.

Seriously, call your Senators now. This needs to be stopped before it goes any further. They want to drive LGBTQIA+ off the internet entirely, and Democrats are on board.

@Sheril the vigor with which Texas is destroying its future is really something to see. I’ve lived here nearly 20 years and would actively discourage anybody I know from moving here. That was not the case just 5 years ago.

I have to repost these wise words again from @densaer on the "OODA Loop" #OODALoop #OODA - they are so relevant to these times. After reading about how #tourists were attempting to just act as if nothing was wrong in Rhodes, Greece, even if the face of burning wildfires. These words came back to me once again--well worth internalizing this one in a world of #climate disasters.
