An ode to Venus

A fist full of rage
And a fist full of peace
Yet I claw through the sage
With neither of these
Should I open one hand

The mangrove trees
A feast for the fish
A crime for The Times
A deal with the devil
In the angel's eyes
I'll climb that rock
With neither of these
I'll see you at the top
Through the fresh pine trees
So where should I be?
With hands like these
In the sixteenth room
