Due to UK casedemic I thought I'd have dig into most recent numbers from UK Govt "Scariants of Concern" data sheet.
The table for Delta Scariant says data sample is 1st Feb to 21st June, so a month out of date, even though document itself is dated 9th July.
So... vaccine uptake from 50 years to 80+ is between 85% to 95%.
Cases in over 50's?
Total: 12,404
1 Jab 4,651 = 37%
2 Jab 5,234 = 42%
Unvax 1,267 = 10%
Unknown 1,252 = 10%
How can anyone claim the vaccine can stop you catching it ?!?

@YorkshireTea weird how it's different data though, don't see where they get there numbers.
guardian can be as bad as any other newspaper but doubt they'd outright fabricate
@skells I think it's due to me only looking at the 50+ cohort. I see no point in the <50 one as it includes too many unvaccinated adults and children where >50 is pretty static now, most who wanted the jab have got so we know the ratio will not change much now.
If you go across all ages you get the bigger numbers, especially if you want to make the unvaccinated look bad.

I don't think so, checked again just now and their numbers are different:
PHE: 123,620 All Delta cases, Feb-Jun
Guardian: 33,206 All Delta cases, Feb-Jun

@skells So when it comes to cases, the % for unvaccinated is still the same. The only shifts are between one and two jabs. So comparing the two most recent sheets.
Total Cases: 12,404 -> 23,379
1 Jab 4,651 -> 5,289 = 37% -> 23%
2 Jab 5,234 -> 13,427 = 42% -> 57%
Unvax 1,267 -> 2,337 = 10% -> 10%
Unknown 1,252 -> 2,169 = 10% -> 10%
So no change in unvax'd as a percentage LMFAO.
Will dig into the other sections but to me this says vax'd or unvax'd, all will still get it.
@skells thanks for that link, the data sheet they link to is the one after mine so it will have more recent data to look at. Will have a nosey and see if anything of note has changed. :)
