I could just search the internet for this answer, but I'd rather ask here. Does anyone know when making computer chips with high precision lithography how you physically ensure such tiny precise nanometer movements for the laser? What if someone coughs too close to the machine and the laser jumps a little?
@augustus the lasers are guided and focussed by electromagnets, although they'll have vibration damping in the system as a whole I'm sure
