Outside of the obvious (interest rates move where money goes with respect to equities vs debt), there's a ton of speculation on big known events where the outcome isn't certain. That's an opportunity to make money on all sides.
@midway@NBS for sure, and in the cases of individual stocks or even commodities that makes sense, it's the idea that ~political actors such as the Fed or even elected representatives can have such instantaneous sway on markets that feels whack to me
