I've been curious about Coronation Street, recently, as I've never seen it before. English people keep mentioning it in different vains, but, and I didn't realise this until just now, it's a show that has been going since the 1960s. The Brits are good at that, subsidizing a production for as long as it takes for the Stockholm Syndrome to kick in.
