the books vary greatly in length so we should set the pace after choosing which to read. from what ive seen quite a few terminally online people in niche communities (including me) have read isaif so maybe it would be optional supplimental reading but it could always be revisited.

That's a good idea. I too have read isaif and I'd be interested in reading more.

I haven't read that one yet so it could be interesting to read. I have started Anti-tech revolution so it'll be interesting to finish that and continue to read more material from him to discuss in the book club.

if its as referential as sim says then i dont think we should read it as a casual book club. ive been procrastinating looking for info on the content of essays but the anarchist library has a bunch that we could pick from. id reccomend "the system's neatest trick" (the only one ive read) but i would also be interested in something themed, like essays on violence (he has a couple with titles promoting it and one on timothy mcveigh) or maybe notable letters to and coments on other movements.

havent read any of them but "in defense of violence", "when non-violence is suicide" and "ted kaczynski's comments on timothy mcveigh" all sound violence related. i think it might be interesting especially with the first one not just to read his views on violence after he used it for publicity, but also since i assume he wrote them while in prison and advocating violence usually means letters dont get sent.

It is very readable, it's just a bit big and some people might not be able to finish it. We could break it up but I'd think we should include at least ~30% (let's say until paragraph 86) of it.
I think that isaif is better in terms of quality than the essays.
