Curves tool is so powerful, almost saved the day.

Also, I love gimp, where you can export almost every settings into plain text.

I export this curve to a file and has no issue on understanding them. Much better than Photoshop.

Tried gimp for image processing.

The printer really want to print black, even light gray will become black.

@freemo

You can try it with tofu (the soft one).

Also, in some areas, people cover the egg with quicklime paste, then buried in the ground😋

Also, I hope the printhead can control itself. Density level 0 looks exactly like level 6, how? I mean, why?

Also, the overheating detection can only prevent you from burning the printhead, but before that, the paper just overheated and start turning into black.

Why there is no A2 in the background?

Because stupid windows refuse to work with libusb and I had to do it in Linux.

@trinsec Yes. I got a commercial thermal printer before, but it didn't use a standard interface, or offer any SDK. So I bought this one. Also not that precise.

However, the old one managed to have 3 levels of density control, where you can clearly tell the black is different. This one claims 15 levels, but as far as I can tell, only ordinary black and overheated black.

I generally don't think thermal printers can print a decent picture😂

Despite I know I bought a label/sticker printer, I still want it to amaze me by letting it prints something with super precision.

But the fact is no. It's just a label printer, and it can only print labels.

I thought I can print grey pictures with it.

(During my testing, I found that this printer really struggled at control the temperature. It has some degrees of print density, but definitely can't do the gray picture.)

Do I know anyone at Google? Adrian Black’s third YouTube channel was permanently suspended and “it’s final”.

They’re accusing Adrian Black of impersonating…

…himself.

Also, the document is shit.

Document said "bitmap" has 3 modes. They are 0, 1 and 2. But in SDK, they use mode 3, which is totally undocumented and the code is spaghetti.

Another example, you can query the model string with a command, but the document didn't say anything about the return value. I have to dig into SDK and know they are using a 32 bytes buffer and treat it like a null-terminated string with default charset, I assume it's GB2312 or GB10 something something.

Start woking with a thermal printer SDK. It's written for android in Java.

They didn't provide any source code, but luckly, java program itself is the source code.

And now I decide to write my own SDK.

Yeah... "Vector<Byte>"

I don't know why, but seems like the flavor of salmiakki is not that aggressive anymore.
