You see how the entire “AI” agenda is driven by OpenAI? How every time they come up with anything that’s all everyone talks about? Does this seem like a healthy science or research attitude? This is a company run by typical overhyping, tech-utopia-brought-to-you-by-silicon-valley-billionaires bros who have managed to hijack or time and imagination cause, well, money, racism, sexism.
@timnitGebru This reminds me, what’s the deal with chatbots? Who needs them? What good are they to anybody? Are there no better applications for AI, no more pressing problems to solve? Aside from the benefits to society or lack thereof, who even *wants* a chatbot?

It annoys me that some smart people get paid a lot of money to spend a lot of time working on dumb things, while the rest of us are in the trenches doing real work.
