I thought it was a coincidence but now it happened too many times in the past months - the master student I'm supervising is actively ignoring my suggestions and avoiding me...
@stormtoast do you feel confortable asking them whether there's an issue they'd want to discuss?
Or do you have a 3rd person you trust and know can be seen as impartial so that they could act as a middleperson to see what's wrong?
@tfardet I would like to talk to him in person but I am abroad at the moment so it's a bit difficult, and I would like to avoid sending him an email since the tone in written text can be easily misinterpreted.
I was joking about it with a senior researcher at the beginning but now he as noticed his behaviour too, I think he's going to disccuss it with him.
