I enjoy how inconsistent MSbuild is on the topic of case sensitivity. That is definitely a great boost for my workflow.

MSbuild seems to do translation of directory separator characters by itself, but leaves it up to the OS to figure out whether "a" == "A" in file-related operations, but "a" == "A" in all comparison operations

Pretty much every inconsistent behaviour in MSbuild's handling of multi-platform was filed like 5+ years ago, ignored for years, then closed as "well we can't fix it now, it'll break everyone's workarounds"
