Is there a drop-in replacement for dwm on Wayland? I'm debating to switch, but I don't want to give up the stacked wm approach.

@garritfra sway isn't quite drop-in but having used both it's very similar.

@garritfra If you want to see what sway would be like without going through and making sure polkit etc. is set up correctly for Wayland you can try i3 on X11 and see what you think, which sway is supposedly a drop-in replacement for.

@swiley I didn't like i3 for its imperative tiling, so I don't think Sway will suit me here. :(

@garritfra @swiley there's a dearth of good wms on wayland. Just like with most software really.

Sway is very nice but only if you like a manual tiler.

@fedops @swiley I guess it's time to familiarize myself with the Wayland APIs and write my own WM.😁
