@popolon @clacke @yogthos@mastodon.social
your argument is that the Turkish government agrees with you that the Uyghurs deserved the violence from the Chinese government?
My job involves ensuring that the internet works and works without censorship from *any* government. I should point out that the Turkish government has gone to extremes that most people thought no one would bother to in order to censor the internet for it's people. The Turkish government, as far as I am concerned as a technologist (and not an American, since I harbor an extreme distrust of my own government) is at war with its people.
@popolon @clacke @yogthos@mastodon.social Disagreeing with NATO is fine (even a good thing often.) Preventing people from communicating securely is not and that's what the Turkish *government* did. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2020/11/turkey-doubles-down-violations-digital-privacy-and-free-expression
@swiley @clacke @yogthos Voice Of America propaganda, saying that Muslim marriage is forbidden, and mosques destroyed. I didn’t read the whole article. Voice of America (and Voice off Asia, Asian branch), was created by US gvt during Cold War, for propaganda.
But your are true, Turkey, among all turkish countries and muslim countries (that are all bad after US), do not agree with the US+NATO stance.
