I lost a lot of regular contacts when I moved from a large (by Polish standards) city to a small house in the forest, where I could freely go around my garden naked, if I wanted to, and no one would see or care. I used to drive to the city quite often at first, then my visits became very rare. So I guess moving from Twitter here won't be much of a problem.
