Apparently some people believe Mastodon will "again quickly die" because there are no quote toots. That might be fun. Once a year Mastodon will die on the day the matter of quote functionality is decided and it will resurrect in three days. Saying Mastodon is going to die if doesn't adopt quote functionality is like saying that you will go to hell if you don't listen to Jesus. Wrong on so many levels. Yes, some people will get out of here because, to them, quote toots are the essence of digital life. Their problem.
