Not necessarily. The only happy parties will be the large cellphone operators. Fuck the few thousand people who have relied on this for years.
@szescstopni use #LoRa instead. No need to line the pockets of the cell providers.

@RoboticistDuck LoRa is something that I'm going to start experimenting with very soon – in a week, if all goes well. I'll have to learn a lot. Our backbone operator is not cellular, it's funded by the local governments. But running this whole operation without subsidies seems impossible. I have to treat all the money I put into this over the years as lost.
