@naia What a wonderful mash of hashtags in your bio.
@szescstopni Thank you! I'm eager to learn, and hoping to help make a dent in a good direction in this giant rock we call home ^^
@naia At least you know we live on a rock. Too many people think it's on a turtle shell.
@szescstopni That'd be one heck of a turtle! And explain why humanity behaves a bit like parasites..
@szescstopni So cute! Unbelievable... one can barely see the skyscrapers on their shell!
@naia Yes. Those turtles are really huge.
@szescstopni One idea I'm passionate about is revisiting the technological stack in order to simplify what can be simplified. (A bit in the spirit of how the youtube channel primitive technology showcases how some things can be achieved from "first principles", but about our technological and political stack.)
There is a talk by Jonathan Blow titled (clickbait alert) "Preventing the Collapse of Civilization" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW-SOdj4Kkk
in which he makes the case that our infrastructure has become terribly (unnecessarily) complicated.
From processor instruction architecture to OS-process interfaces... many opportunities for simplification exist (without sacrificing performance).
Sorry for the ramble / rant.
