This could be Washington. It could be Berlin. It could be London. But it's Dnipro because Ukraine is defending all of us. They deserve better than to be left to Russian terrorists

My trans son is a big fan of the fantasy world created by *that* transphobic millionaire but doesn't want to give her any more money.
We're working on a new House/Collective ... it is called Wulfhere ("Wolf Army") because we value the wolf characteristics of "complex, highly intelligent animals who are caring, playful, and above all devoted to family"

Moje ostatnie odkrycie kulinarne to pasta z czerwonej fasoli. Przepis mieści się w jednym toocie:

1 puszka czerwonej fasoli, lub podobna ilość (220g) ugotowanej
3 łyżeczki koncentratu pomidorowego
1 pęczek szczypiorku, szczypioru lub 1 średnia cebula
½ łyżeczki wędzonej papryki
sól, pieprz

Widelcem ugnieć fasolę na gładką masę. Dodaj koncentrat pomidorowy, posiekaną cebulkę lub szczypiorek, a następnie paprykę wędzona.
Wszystko dokładnie wymieszaj i dopraw do smaku solą oraz pieprzem. Gotowe!

This was inevitable and I'll be very
surprised if the outcome favours the tech companies.

So, at the age of 54, I went back to graduate school, and got a certificate in Environmental Law and Policy at Loyola University Chicago.

I got a 96.3 in Water Law and Policy, a 98.5 in Energy Law and Policy, a 98 in Introduction to Environmental Law and Policy, and a 100 in Natural Resources and Land Use Law and Policy.

And I talked about #beavers. Nonstop. I spread the gospel of the #beaver in almost every assignment!

I would like to share my #beaverbeliever origin story. One night in April 21, I idly checked my Facebook feed while watching TV with my husband and discovered that an HOA in my suburb was planning to trap and kill a pair of #beavers who had moved into their #water retention ponds and were cutting down trees.

Typically when "nuisance" beavers are trapped and killed, trappers use underwater traps. Because beavers are semi-aquatic animals, they can hold their breath for 15 minutes.

Attention cities & states — remember this as you reconsider EVERY single freeway and road widening project that you’ve been working on for years and even decades, but very likely need to cancel in light of the #CimateEmergency, and the fact that they cost hundreds of millions or even billions, don’t actually work, and will actually induce more driving.

In what language did you write your first “Hello World” line of code?

Blues: The world is fucked
Punk: The world is fucked and I'm pissed
Emo: The world is fucked and I'm sad
Grunge: The world is fucked and I'm medicated
Ska: The world is fucked and I have a trumpet

Canada's cost-per-gigabyte is seven times more expensive than Australia, 25 times more than Ireland and France, and 1,000 times more than Finland, according to research firm Rewheel. cbc.ca/1.6711205

#DYK that the forensic scientist Frances Glessner Lee created real crime scene dioramas to train homicide investigators in the 1940s/50s? She was troubled that patrolmen and detectives rarely knew how to secure a scene for the medical examiner, or identify key evidence that might prove useful in a forensic investigation. And so, she set out to create dioramas as educational tools.

She also helped found the first Department of Legal Medicine at Harvard when forensics was in its infancy.

The legal heavyweights at the American Bar Association weigh in on the #OGL controversy... and reveal their #TTRPG of choice is Call of Cthulhu. It is the game after all where lawyers can be the heroes...

...My take now? Making quoting easy is not a major vector for abuse or toxicity, and there are benefits.

That’s not to say that the quote tweet can’t be abused. Every form of tweet/post can be, and is.

The toxicity was already there, thriving in replies in particular, and amplified in all its forms by the algorithm, retweets, and hashtags.

Did the quote tweet make it worse? If it did, it may not have been by much - and in a couple of datasets, it improved civility.
