#Python 2 is dead since 2020. If you continue to support it in your projects, you're not doing your users a service.

What you're doing is forcing a lot of backwards compatibility baggage to your users, discouraging people from contributing and effectively burying your project.

So please stop. It's time to move on and stop requesting changes to submitted patches because "this doesn't work on a Python release from 2019".
