I used to live in Glasgow southside and drove this way to work three days per weeek.

The bridge was hit on regular basis.

Can someone tell me how this is not enough information for the driver about the low bridge?

I am not sure what it says about me as an alcoholic Irish person that I am slightly offended by the Drunken Garden Gnome, yet I think a mess of them getting slaughtered by a Trex is hilarious. #garden #gnome

I’m collecting some ideas for #MastodonDE, an upcoming Mastodon instance I’m launching - any suggestions?

New blog post! I write about the 1914 Franck-Hertz experiment, which provided the first evidence of quantized atomic energy levels. https://skullsinthestars.com/2023/05/20/quantum-jumps-the-franck-hertz-experiment-1914/

UH OH. Those aren't ants!

One #antkeepers at formiculture is raising a colony of #Pheidole pallidula, and has allowed Paussus favieri beetles ... terrible moochers who eat baby ants and let the ants feed them while doing no work, live with the colony. #ants

Since the colony has basically unlimited food and a cushy life these #beetles won't kill the colony. But, I'm torn about the whole thing. Can't stop watching for updates, though and they just posted a new one:

If you are thinking fuck it there is no point in voting. Then you may not know how propaganda works but it did work on you.

I think about this XKCD almost daily

Florida is no longer a safe place to visit, a consequence of repressive Christianist laws, and several organizations have issued travel advisories.

Foster Domingo came from a program for scared and poorly socialized dogs at the shelter where I volunteer. He has clearly never lived in a home before and rarely moves from his safe spots once settled into one. He was terrified of the TV. Yet he seems very comfortable on our bed. #DogsOfMastodon #FormerlyFeralDogs

[5]: Will you read me a bed time story?
Me: Which one?

Here is the first Low Quality Fact I ever wrote. What a weird, fun, confusing journey it's become.
