It sure looks like Twitter/X is dying as a mainstream social media site in #Germany. Major departures are continuing, now including a network of big foundations. The fediverse (mainly Mastodon) and BlueSky are going strong.

Here's the announcement on yesterday's big departures (German).

I hope the recent wave of protests against a fascist resurgence in Germany will lead to further prominent departures.

Pretty sure every "sex ed" class in America should spend a significant amount of time on the numerous issues surrounding child #birth. While I certainly acknowledge the malign influence of male power #politics on the abortion debate, I think at the same time most men are woefully under-educated on just how fraught and complicated the world of bearing a #child can be. Ignorance leads to black and white thinking in a realm composed of a 1000 shades of gray.

Nie wiem co jest nie tak z tą marką, ale najczęściej jeśli widzę kogoś kto zapierdala 200, siada na zderzaku, wyprzedza na trzeciego lub z prawej to jedzie właśnie Audi. To jakaś funkcja fabryczna? Czy po prostu jak masz mniej niż 15 punktów karnych to nie sprzedadzą ci auta?

The idea that so many people would choose to be lazy is, in and of itself, lazy. People have aspirations and goals that are untenable in their financial situation. Remove the barrier, and suddenly, you have millions of people enriching their lives.

We seem lazy because we're fucking depressed and tired from working all the time.

Exactly four years ago I took my first #astrophotography. Without start tracking, guiding, just a DSLR on a tripod, an old Russian lens, and a lot of very short exposures.

The photo shows the Orion constellation, the famous belt and the Orion Nebula below it. The first image is how I processed it then, the second one is processed recently, with new tools such as Graxpert and BlurExterminator.
