Something I’ve noticed about the way I use social media is that when someboy posts a link to a video, I normally just move along and ignore the post. I do the same with news sites; when it’s a video story, I just ignore it and look for a text article. I feel like I have less and less patience for video content. Like the newness of “ooh, video on THE INTERNET!” wore off more than a decade ago.

So many people seem to feel the same, but yet video is EVERWHERE. It’s perplexing.

So, one of the things about beingAgnes is that I've been living with my feelings for so many years I've grown accustomed to them. I hadn't even suppressed them. I just had hidden them from the outside word for many years, then slowly started coming out to selected group of people I've considered as safe. But this toot is not about coming out. It is about what I consider right now as my biggest problem, and what had hold me back for many, many years. And, in some aspects, still holds me back.

Passing.

When I look into the mirror I see my father. The overall body shape, which is a good base to be a body builder, if that would be my desire. The dominant facial features. The facial expressions, when I am surprised, or confused. And, to put it mildly, the high hairline.

However today we, that means my wife and myself, hit the town. Dressed properly, with a decent wig. And she has made some pictures of me. And on one of them, the half-profile pic, when I squint my eyes a little, I see some facial features of my mother as well. And that gives me a warm feeling.

Shit you wish you'd never learnt

I live in a rural area. About 3/4 of a mile away is a small cowshed, probably about 20 cows. My neighbour knows the farmer. I commented a few years ago about how they had been really noisy, day and night, calling out. Never normally heard them. She tells me it was because their calves had just been taken away

I've had them calling in the background for the last 24 hours. Heartbreaking once you know the sound

So I'm reading that #Starship will launch again possibly this week. The only thing that interests me is that the inevitable boom won't damage too much the natural environment.

Are we going to save cat videos or the cats?

Over 50% of Internet traffic is video.

Are we going to save pictures of Nature or Nature?

There are 10 trillion photos stored in the Cloud.

We took more photos last year than we took in the entire 20th Century.

Soon, our data will drink more water than we do.

And 90% of this data is crap. Waste.

We are wasting our environment to create digital waste.
