What's the server policy on using languages other than English?
@freemo Thanks a lot. I intend not to use this account a lot, but if I will, I think I will mostly toot in Polish - and I didn't want to violate server policy. I had not seen anything about the language in the terms of service, hence my question. The intent of my question is that I intend to politely push my students to use some mastodon instance by saying they can contact me; and that would be weird if they would have to write in English (even though in STEM they, of course, are required to be at least semi-fluent in the language)

@freemo Thank you. The next semester starts in two months, so there is a lot of time to get used to the mastodon :D
@szopen It is permitted, though we do requre you be able to speak english or atleast willing to use a translator should a moderator need to talk to you.. If someone breaks the rules and can not understand a moderators warning that wont generally be accepted as an excuse. Otherwise, use whatever language you'd like.
