Maybe I should do some #Introductions.
First of all, I am a settler in Mi'kmaki.
I am a mathematician who teaches university #math (calculus, geometry, abstract algebra, real analysis) and does research in math (fractals, geometry, connections to math). I'm interested in #highered and #matheducation. I teach at a small undergraduate university in a small town in a small province of Canada.
I'm a single mom of 3 kids (23, 13, and 5). My youngest child has been officially diagnosed as #autistic so I have been learning about #neurodivergency.
I am anti-fascist, anti-racist, inclusive feminist, still masking, vegetarian.
I sometimes rant about things that piss me off but I am often sharing little moments of joy and wonder and humour.
@petersmithca thanks! this is all so new to me, I really have no idea what I'm doing. I do share a lot of random math stuff, I love sharing the beauty and surprising connections.

@tara_taylor_stfx it's new to most! Definitely new to me being an admin. Just been a user before. And this server has exceeded my expectations several fold. I'm nervous and excited and thinking I'm too old for this!
