Golisano Children's Hospital Pediatric Trauma Team Helps Reduce Radiation Exposure in Children
As a result of this study, co-author Elaa Mahdi, MPH MD, a general surgery resident at URMC (now at UW in Seattle), was given the Quality, Safety, & Value in Surgery Award from APSA in 2022, given to the manuscript that best demonstrates quality improvement principles, patient safety initiatives and/or addresses the value proposition by demonstrating an improvement in outcomes.
