I just saw someone celebrate 35 years at Microsoft on my Facebook. It’s hard to explain to my current coworkers how commonplace being at Microsoft for decades is when the typical Silicon Valley tour of duty is 2-3 years.

I know of multiple people who worked there so long their kids joined them at the company.

I’ve heard Apple is one if the few tech companies that has a similar lifer culture at this scale.
