One thing I noticed reading Duncan Watts book (Everthing is Obvious) is that, although he's a quant, he pays considerable respect to the experience and wisdom of the non-quant side.

@mimsical After reading your excellent story about Apple phones, I'd like to tell you my anecdote.
Around the time iPads first came out, I bought one for my mother, reasoning it would be a simpler way for her to use email. I was not pleased by the cost, so I did a combined purchase, the iPad for her and shares (AAPL) for me. Well, she never did much with the iPad, but in retrospect it was the best combined purchase ever. Yet I still have an Android phone.
