@robryk No, and in my experience, even at around -25F (-32C) the handbrake hasn't got stuck.

@danluu I drive a manual (stick shift) and neither put it in 1st nor reverse, just the emergency brake does well enough. Maybe if it's a really steep hill I would put it in 1st.
