Profiles and posts should be geo-taggable (approximately, of course), so that it is easy to correlate if an account claims proximity to regions on which its messages post opinions about. It would make it clear when non-journalists about events in far-off places that they don't have a clue about.

That is something that happens far too often online. Anybody who wants that can go watch the news.

e.g. @radio@infosec.exchange who seems to be in Britain posted about happenings in India. It is unfortunately not obvious that the post and its subject are divorced from the democratic and judicial realities on the ground.

The benign interpretation of this divorce of those opinions from reality is that spouting uninformed opinion on far-off places is a hobby for such people.
