David Seymour's attitude reeks of middle class privilege. I'd like to see him living in emergency housing, on a benefit-level income, for 3 months. Then see if he's still keen on putting location tracking bracelets on kids:

Seymour loves to moan loudly about the symptoms of social breakdown, when it impacts on the privileged classes and their property. The root cause of that breakdown is 4 decades of 'leave it to the market' neoliberalism and austerity politics, justified by intellectually bankrupt "trickle-down" neoclassical economics. What really infuriates me about Seymour's moaning is his willful blindness to the fact that everything ACT economic policy preaches makes the problem worse.

@strypey I am not in Aoterea but one thing I have seen taxpayers do is think that they have rights to something because they have paid their taxes. If their tax money hasn't been used enough for social purposes and parts of society have a problem, it is not their problem. It looks like politicians are good at externalizing both costs and impacts 🙁
