TIL #erlang / otp comes with wxWidgets bindings. From what i've seen so far it actually fills in a lot of the annoying gaps that i've seen in other languages. Like the event system connects very well to the established actor model..!
Has been quite a while since i was excited to build a GUI... I usually took it as necessary evil and felt like fighting windmills with toothpicks (web tech).
@cryptix Yeah, Erlang did a good job binding to the object-oriented WX stuff.
I like it too. We should have more applications using it! :)
