Submissions for a #postdoc position have been depressing. Out of scope applications, and only few applications in general. Seems like it's going to be a rough ride for PIs out there to find skilled folks (willing to put up with the system).

@koen_hufkens my son is starting to search for a post doc, and complains that the salaries being offered would have him living more frugally than his graduate stipend.
@thm181 Depending on where you are located this could indeed be true (larger cities in the US face this problem in particular).
