vim has the 'breakindent' option, which visually indent wrapped lines.

2 A single, indented
line, visually wrapped and
equi-idented.
3 foo.
```

By language aware, did you mean something like:

```
1 func(alpha, bravo, charlie)
2 foo...

1 func(
alpha,
bravo,
charlie
)
2 foo...
```
