The total #newbie I am - I was today years old when I learned that the Fediverse was once just identi.ca (is that right)? which means... I was here once before... a long, long time ago...
@jrh All this is definitely before my time. I think I joined the Fediverse in general around.. 2018? Something like that.
@trinsec I'm not sure the exact relation. I think Friendica and other federated microblogging platforms came online when identi.ca switched to pump.io. But by then I had been assimilated to the birdsite
