Basic question from a mastodon newbie: using mastodon in my browser (qoto.org), everytime I get a message or a notification it makes a sound. I want to see my notifications but how do I turn off the sound? Thanks.

@kendmiller Go to your notifications tab. See a symbol with 3 sliding switches on it? (horizontal lines with some squares in them). That's the options menu for configuring how your notifications should behave, it includes options for playing the sounds.
