@freemo Stop hogging that reactor and share some of it with us in the north. :P

Man, Monster Slayers is a bit broken here and there. It's a nice game but it's also very unpolished.

So I tried out the Knight class, and was in a dungeon fighting a Troll. Well.. he got regen 25 eventually. But surprise, so did I! I have a nice trinket which can up my regen gradually!

So, both got to regen 25 (max possible), and both were not strong enough to lower each other's HP permanently...

That was boring. I aborted it and quit the damn knight. I'll play some other class instead. The rogue was actually a lot of fun with stealing the opponent's cards. Might go for it again.

@tripu I know he was into occult (at least, there are rumors), so I'm not really surprised he was religious (into the extreme).

@Pat Yeah, there's an old drawn animation from 1989, I've watched it a long time ago. But there's also this fancy new computer animated one from 2016:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3691740/
Which is the one that's been showing for the past few years now during Xmas time.

@freeschool Erm... isn't 'Medecins Sans Frontieres' translated to 'Doctors without borders'? How'd you get to morals here? Are they killing people enmasse?

@Pat

@Pat BFG is actually a fairly well known tale. In Dutch it's actually called the GVR. :D

@Pat Yeah, those giants sure stuck to their big fucking guns. Oh wait, they didn't. I guess that's why they got beaten.

I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about BBC, though. :P

@freemo Probably need the reference number for it. Engraved in the outer ring of the dial in the bottom position probably.

Of course the BFG is on BBC right now. Like every year. ;)

I've always thought that it was a pretty nice fantasy tale up until they went to meet the queen. After that I found it getting stupid quick. Who the heck cares about the British queen? And why did they even allow the girl to come along when capturing the rest of the giants? That was quite a dangerous situation.

Stupid movie, really.

@sergeant@mstdn.social Hehehe, wel een goeie!

@thomasfuchs Don't forget that while you're vaccinated, the symptoms and other adverse results from the infections are severely reduced. Yeah, there's still a risk, but it isn't all doom and gloom like you paint here, though. Iirc France has a fair amount of people vaccinated.

@freemo Since it seems to be metering _you_, I would be very wary of yourself!

@SecondJon Eleven more Xmas days? Hu? We only have 2, and an Xmas eve. :D

@kranfahrer @mur2501 Yeah... your link already describes that in great detail... :)

There are many variations on this theme. I know in the TV series Rita, in the 4th season (I think) she (Rita) was in a classroom where her teacher also did some draconian take on the division of the class where one half was 'superior' to the other half.

And I'm sure I saw some other movie too with a similar (albeit not this extreme) concept.

I guess this is something that fascinates the human mind to no end.

@kranfahrer @mur2501 Oh wow, seeing the story in the wiki... that's some heavy themed movie. Seems to be on par with Das Leben der Anderen?

@biomedmax Happy little house among happy little (and big) trees?
