@tavoglc The server's going to be upgraded soon, a translation feature will be added then.

@HauntedOwlbear Oh, that is what a big box collection is.

I flattened all my boxes and put them in a large box... can't get rid of them. But also can't display them due to space.

@spacex@brands.town You got me there. I wondered why it was so great to replace them every 12-24 months. I gotta keep an eye on the instance domain name. ;)

Having been here since 2016, I can tell you there is definitely no such thing as a consensus on usage of content warnings on the fediverse. It's a decentralized network that doesn't belong to any one party, so by definition there is no single culture on it. Different corners have different expectations and customs.

@timnitGebru @aurynn @CaribenxMarciaX They'd be so wrong, since the 'local timeline' is really a thing, and that is definitely a 'here' to me.

@DavitMasia
Default Mastodon doesn't offer this option. But there are modified instances which have added this feature.
A known Mastodon-fork offering this would be Mastodon Glitch, for example.

@gailbear
Considering your earlier comment, classes and instances AreEssentiallyTheSameThing? ;)

@PausalZ

@sgul I'd suggest to already get familiar with YAML (front matter) and to categorize/standardize notes that way. It'll help out a lot in the long run when you go use Dataview. :)

@beatricebernardo

There is a site displaying various connections, but it might be a bit hard to read. I also do not know how complete this might be.

Try checking out fediverse.space

Yes, whenever I have to use my phone to get on Qoto, I just use the website pinned to my homescreen. The site's mobile friendly and all features are available this way.

The only issue might be if you wanted a lot of notifications, I guess. But I don't want them and don't miss them. I'm on Qoto when I choose to, not the other way around. It's the sane approach anyway. ;)

@freemo @s_gruppetta @peterdrake That's actually kinda the dumbest thing I've heard. Since markdown is still readable and you could infer intent.. I know I'm probably preaching to the choir here but damn.

@freemo @s_gruppetta @peterdrake So all the markdown characters is purposely removed on mastodon.social?

@s_gruppetta @freemo @peterdrake I noticed that too. If markdown won't render, at least keep the markdown adornments intact? What actually happens there for them to strip off the characters?

@freemo
Markdown code needs some looking at, it's got some bugs including this one.
