Fascinating info about the #CPR procedure:
TL;DR: it's not as effective as we think (~17% survival rate in best case scenarios), it may be painful for the patient and cause serious injuries (older patients are specially at risk), a significant number of patients who survive wish they hadn't received CPR, a peaceful death may be preferable to many.
@tripu Did not realize CPR in general had such a low survival.
DNR rates at some retirement homes is 98%, ie. Quaker based Kendal. The survival rate for CPR on 80-90 year olds is ~1%.
