“$ISSUE is now much better than ever before, much progress has been made” is one of those non-arguments I don't accept when discussing improvements to $ISSUE
Nothing in particular today, but I get those answers surprisingly often when I discuss animal welfare, democratic reform, existential risks, wealth inequality, etc.
