I believe open carry of those kinds of weapons is provocative, but probably shouldn't be illegal. Having a heated conversation at a bar changes if I just pull out my concealed gun and put it on the bar. It's weird how my carrying of a weapon means I can justifiably be more concerned about my safety from your aggressive behavior than otherwise, cause unarmed people might take it from me. And kill me & many others. And then good guys with guns might shoot innocents by accident. Etc.
