I think Elon Musk might actually sincerely believe he's a centrist and it's not just a grift. Looking at his interactions and views, it seems like he's surrounded himself with yes men to the point where he's operating based on his own personal Overton window which is not grounded in reality.
at first I assumed he was just claiming to be a centrist because he desperately seeks public approval and not picking a side is the best way to maximize that. But I'm realizing more an more that he is actually just completely out of touch with reality.
@malwaretech I feel the exact same way. I just hope that it ends with him losing control of Tesla & SpaceX so that the talented engineers there can continue to do great work without this asshat ruining it for them.

@voidabyss @BobertHepker Jobs was also a pain in the ass as a person, but not nearly as unstable as late Elon. And since Artemis depends on Starship, I would not like to have Elon's bullshit impacting the return to the moon

I believe it's all bullshit identity politics, since he declared openly his support for the GOP(rightly so), he is getting all the hate from the left(media, politicians etc..) for petty reasons and of course brainwashed sheeple will parrot that hate. (i.e. hoping for the guy to get kick out of the companies that he founded).
If you really want the see the return to the moon you might show some support for the guy that made that a possibility again, instead I see I lot of people in here wishing for his demise.
