Bit of a development this morning! This is #RISC_OS on the #raspberrypi 400 talking to a clone #8bit #Arduino Mega & running #ProjectRIO / #tinyBASIC via #CH340 USB serial driver... this might actually have a use case!

Hit a new low tonight... one of those god awful late 90s Vtech toy laptops... not even a Vtech but a clone... still utterly awful and cheap.. so it didn't last long!

Tonight in a flash of inspiration I took another look at the #Acorn #RISCPC which has battery leak damage, thought it was dead.. but it booted #RISCOS 4x, I switched the ROMs for 3.7 & still boots
But needs a lot of work, VRAM not working socket might be damaged 😞

Actually had a real world need to use 5.25" floppy disc today... first time in 2023. Needed a screen grab from an #8bit 6502 #BBCMicro program, didn't have it on MMC / SD card so easier to load off original 80track disc.
