"attention mortgage". Well put!

At its best, the old http://jobs.braveclojure.com saw something like 5 or 6 listings posted in a 30-day period. The new site's seen 30 listings posted in a 30-day period 🙂
Ah. That moment of gitignore-ance when you realize that ignore isn't actually doing regular expressions; the * just tricked you. #git #gitignore #regex
it's a matter of curiosity that I rarely go to SO for #clojure stuff. I guess it's a testament to functional programming that core documentation covers almost every need, and visiting lib repos takes care of everything else.
Has anyone else noticed this?
The Twitter Webdev community is largely preoccupied with single-line promotional texts (largely about the glories of #javascript) and threads of gee-whiz info that I actually find quite useful sometimes. So, in proper #Clojure fashion, I've decided to use that community as Host and do all those same things, but Clojure[Script]. Feel free to join me! #ClojureScript #webdev
and I await the day when "windows" are equal gibberish as a UI metaphor. There are much better ways.
Have you seen this, @DanBell ? This looks like the kind of mental-shift that you and I have appreciated on things before. Even if it isn't quite "put a repl in it"

This UI is reflected from #clojure specs attached to #Datomic peer functions. Client/server datasync is fully managed, incremental, streaming, fast. No reducers. No state atom. No client database. No normalization. Open your REPL and code simple Clojure fun…

I bet Clojurists have DRD4-7R aka wanderlust gene.
Salient to most other communities Clojure figures out time and time again how go further with less effort through first principles reasoning and an unshakeable conviction that there has to be a better way. https://twitter.com/groundedSAGE/status/1441130138599575552

You don't need a web framework, you need a web language. In this blog post we explain hyperfiddle/photon – a reactive #Clojure/Script dialect, specialized for server-streamed user interfaces.
RT @dustingetz
Photon-dom fns return a stream of UI/dom events to transduce and "return up the stack" for the entrypoint to map to whatever database effect. But don't miss our hypermedia abstraction which implements #datomic's elegant EAVT information model in an amazing composable way #clojure https://twitter.com/helmehalawi/status/1441127729429041156
I thought that, too. So I implemented a user app in raw html and css. I learned 3 things --
1. #emacs is really good at this repetitive, basic stuff
2. even so, the boilerplate was too much!
3. It took MUCH longer than #ClojureScript.
It better last 20 years.

HTML, CSS and JavaScript are enough!
Frameworks come and go, but those 3 stay because they alone are what make web development!

My account on mastodon.social, and my account on qoto, can search and find @Syberia but my account on mstdn.social cannot. Is that some server blocking, or something else?
That first one, (not= Git Github), is one I have to teach often
