If you decide to create an account at TeDomum for write.freely, I would suggest writing a DM to Ange -- as there was a lot of spammer action there, and I suggest locking down the account registration again.

It used to be hidden -- when I first got my account there, there was NO sign up page. I figured out how to get to it, and registered, then later it was opened up.

It's locked down now, as people were creating many new accounts just to pump one worthless post that polluted the Reader list.

I could also suggest Wordsmith.social -- Fediverse.network shows them as France based and hosted at SAS. And -- they allow up to 10 blogs per user, which is pretty rare. Only one per account at TeDomum, atm.

I agree -- that is a huge advantage for Wordsmith.social.

The site's URL is actually quite nice too, easy to remember. I have an account and some other, specific themed posts in a separate blog.

Having the 10 possible Blogs can allow us to create Themed ones, so readers don't have to wade thru mixed content to find what interests them.

I am glad you are finding the time away useful. I have been reading a lot more, online and off, and posting in a specific channel.

Got a moderator position at a community dealing with that theme as well, although I want to keep the personas separated (for privacy reasons).

That may depend on the hub you're in. My hesitation about being here is that coding or programming is so far fetch from what I know that I may sometimes not dig into.

No I mean geographical location, code club went virtual in March due to covid19 and there has been very little engagement, if people are taking part we (me and the library) don't know about it.

Just frustrating when you put the work in and no one seems to be interested.

I can definitely relate. That can be tough to put things of great depth out there and not having responses as it is in the interaction that more questions and answers can be found and thus create even more interaction. Great cycle when this happens.
