@witchescauldron
The reason we stopped using the hashtag #failbook, is because Facebook is not failing those who it is design to serve, it is completely successful in it purpose to serve the #corporateCabal.
Its not failing them, its failing the people it pretends to be serving relevant content to.
That's why we've switched to using #fakeBook instead
We find it handy to ask, "What is X serving", and go back from there. In the true spirit of the #SocialScience Prof. #MichaelParenti.

Good points made here,
Interesting - there are different ways to look at this.
The #failbook tag is talking to USERS - Facebook is failing us as individuals and us as society.
We are not talking to the people with POWER as that would be pointless as we have little power as we gave it to #failbook
Grassroots power ONLY comes from the collective groups, the soil.
A first step the hashtag is used to creating a focus to seed the group.
The second step - talk to POWER with power.
@witchescauldron
The main problem though is that people who use #Facebook don't see it as 'failing' they see 'failbook' and think, a) its doing very well, b) everyone I know seems to be on it c) I might think I'm doing okay too and not know that my thoughts have been slowly boiled away and the blinders are firmly on now.
So we think that the term #Fakebook, is not only more correct but more closely aligned to people's current perception and understanding, thus more likely to be used.
I agree there they see nothing wrong with Facebook, which is worrying when it comes to some of the abuse that takes place on facbook
It is almost asif they condone the abuse by staying on there.
I just spotted this on Twitter

There is no mention of the Fediverse, however there is scope to perhaps do something around this.
