@paulsutton

I am not sure if @libreoffice are able to suggest what is wrong here or if others can have a go, see if they get the same issues.

@zleap @paulsutton @libreoffice LO 7.1 on arch, I see the same problem. What would be interesting if someone could open it in micro$oft office and check that the file looks OK there...

@piggo @libreoffice @paulsutton

I am assuming it looks fine in MS office as I think they use MS office for the flyers.

I will send them the link tomorrow, as the screenshots really illustrate the issue here.

Same happened in Libreoffice 6.x under Debian 10 and LibreOffice 7 (snap package) under Debian 10.

@zleap Hi, you can submit problematic files to the bug tracker at bugs.documentfoundation.org – Please attach screenshots of how it should look, and then the QA community can investigate, and hopefully improve the compatibility. Thanks! 👍

@libreoffice

Hi Thanks for this, I will ask the library for a screenshot then I can submit a report.

Paul

@zleap Thanks for the detailed bug report, Paul! You may also want to check in LibreOffice 7.1.5 (the latest version) in case the compatibility improvements in recent releases also fix it.

@libreoffice

Thanks and no problem,

At present, I can use the version that comes with Debian 11.

Aas DebConf is coming up soon I can ask about keeping the Debian packaged version of Libreoffice more up to date as seems stable, Hopefully there are not too many barriers to keeping the Debian more up to date.

It would also benefit Debian too

Paul

@zleap Cheers Paul! There are some ways to get newer LibreOffice packages on Debian-based distros - eg wiki.debian.org/LibreOffice#Ge - but those aren't officially part of the release.
