Rather worrying state of affairs this, not sure what the solution is other than we need better education and people (inc parents ) ave got to teach kids right from wrong and how to behave, by setting the example.
Hmm, is that an excuse when your child rapes another child, you have kids, you take responsibility for them or I dunno don't have kids.
@rixty_dixet I think we may have better luck talking to a brick wall.
the brick wall, however, does not have this problem... the bricks, children of the brick wall, are all "beautiful people" XD
@rixty_dixet All we can do is share share share these stories, articles etc, at least we can say 'told you so'
The nice thing about the Data Detox stuff is that we can also try and run workshops to help educate too.
@rixty_dixet I am not technical enough to write code for the fedi, but what I can do is be part of the discussion to make changes or at least put some input.
@rixty_dixet In fact lets make that point really clear you don't need to be technical to share ideas, and your experiences. Let the techies work out how to implement stuff, they need to know what to implement.
